Philip Proudfoot: We have become such a joke...
We have become such a joke country, enforcing an obviously insane law just to protect a genocidal racist settler-colony.
Philip Proudfoot: It’s now clear that suppressing...
It’s now clear that suppressing Palestinian activism and running cover for Israel’s genocide is worse under Andy Burnham than under Keir Starmer. From banning books, academics, suppressing free speech, to endlessly weaponing antisemitism. Demonstrably worse.Philip Proudfoot: An earlier UN Commission...
An earlier UN Commission concluded Israel is committing genocide. The commission’s report, published today, concludes Israel is still committing genocide.Philip Proudfoot: Yet more of Britain’s apparent...
Yet more of Britain’s apparent traditions of freedom of assembly and opinion now to be eradicated, and all to facilitate Israel’s genocide.Philip Proudfoot: British liberals: "Zionism...
British liberals: "Zionism is nuanced and complicated, it means many things, it’s layered, it’s multitudes” Theodor Herzl, founder of Zionism: "Zionism is colonialism. We’re gonna kick out the Palestinians, ban them from employment, and take their homes. Britain, help us plz”Philip Proudfoot: “Andy Burnham.. needs to explain...
“Andy Burnham.. needs to explain to communities their bins won't be collected, social services will collapse, libraries will be closed, because he's more worried about defending the genocide he's arming than working with Green council” — @ZackPolanskiPhilip Proudfoot: The people who write...
The people who write in Newspapers that publish cartoons like this have some very important opinions on how the Green Party is “racist”Philip Proudfoot: News is reactionary, obviously...
News is reactionary, obviously. But why is it seemingly the only broadcaster willing to regularly put leftists on air to argue their case? How much more damaging is it than the BBC, which rarely gives the left any space? I’d argue considerably less so, at this point.Philip Proudfoot: Journalists and politicians...
Journalists and politicians, with a straight face, will still ask “are you not holding Israel to a higher standard?" Israel has been held to zero standards. Not even the standard of “do not commit genocide.”Philip Proudfoot: Zack is going nowhere...
Zack is going nowhere. The Greens are no longer a party of 50,000 members but a moral beacon in a world of unbridled impunity. The old guard should stop wrecking immediately or, themselves, leave.Philip Proudfoot: Zionism’s founders...
Zionism’s founders: We want to remove the native population and occupy their land. Israel: *proceeds to dispossess Palestinians, entrench apartheid, and commit genocide* Liberals: But zionism can mean many things, it’s not always racist. Just don’t take this stuff seriouslyPhilip Proudfoot: The liberal "rules-based order"...
The liberal "rules-based order" –– a war criminal, boasting at the UN about a mass-IED attack, boobytrapping a global supply chain, killing and maiming Lebanese children, and violating multiple articles of international lawPhilip Proudfoot: What do they think a lawyer...
What do they think a lawyer is going to argue? He published a video of himself slashing a boat with a rescue worker onboard. What’s the defence? The man is going to jail.Philip Proudfoot: It’s incredible the British...
It’s incredible the British police spent limited resources arresting grandmothers for writing signs on paper, while we have far right terrorists obstructing the RNLI and endangering lives at sea. Government needs to do a serious crackdown on these terrorists asap.Philip Proudfoot: I’m pretty sure there’s an influencing...
I’m pretty sure there’s an influencing operation now to paint Yemenis as a society of “crazed drug addicts” — it’s a dehumanisation campaign to justify US bombardment.Philip Proudfoot: The murderous Israeli propagandists...
The murderous Israeli propagandists who wrote Ed Sheeran’s speech spoke about “proportionality.” Exactly how many children should Israel have murdered? What would have been the proportional number? When did it become disproportional?Philip Proudfoot: Yes. If British-Israeli citizens...
Yes. If British-Israeli citizens “served” in the IDF they should be investigated for the commission of war crimes. Given the government believes war crimes “may” have been committed then any British citizen who “may” have committed them ought to face a police investigation.Philip Proudfoot: False. Reform is the party...
False. Reform is the party of weirdo crypto-traders and Israel. It’s a party of traitors to Britain, who defend Israel’s assault on our diplomatic institutions, and billionaires assault on our democracy.Philip Proudfoot: Labour, hilariously, acting as if...
Labour, hilariously, acting as if they’re not the governing party, and could therefore immediately change party financing rules to stop obscenely large donations to political parties. Instead, give us 3 quid please!Philip Proudfoot: Remember when every US president...
Remember when every US president was warned that war with Iran would engulf the region and unleash economic consequences far beyond the region? Yeah.Philip Proudfoot: I want to see an official independent...
I want to see an official independent inquiry into Keir Starmer’s government and their participation in the genocide. That inquiry should have the possibility of leading to criminal cases against Starmer, Lammy and all ministers who ignored offical warnings on atrocity crimes.Philip Proudfoot: There's a non-zero chance...
There's a non-zero chance that Israel's predictably insane response to Britain finally following a single article of international law is going to lead to Britain taking a much harder position.Philip Proudfoot: We cannot go back to this stuff...
We cannot go back to this stuff; when the left is in retreat it always ends up in morphing into this very weird scolding movement, when’re 99% of what’s discussed is just making stuff up that people think.Philip Proudfoot: Argentinians pretending they're not settler...
Argentinians pretending they're not settler-colonialists. American leftists pretending other socialists think everyone has to be a gym bro or they're worthless. Quite enough time spent on the pretending app today.Philip Proudfoot: Emily Thornberry ran cover...
Emily Thornberry ran cover for the previous incumbent, appearing on Newsnight to defend Starmer’s remarks that Israel has the right to starve Gaza and cut off water. Starmer promptly dropped her from the shadow cabinet and she became, overnight, a champion of Palestine.Philip Proudfoot: The only place you should be...
The only place you should be standing shoulder to shoulder with Starmer is when you’re both in the dock at The Hague.Philip Proudfoot: Keir Starmer should not be allowed...
Keir Starmer should not be allowed to waltz out of parliament into some international organisation sinecure. Everywhere he goes, he should be reminded he made our country an active participant in genocide and arrested those who sought to stop it. He should be in The Hague.Philip Proudfoot: Not driven by helping his constituents...
Not driven by helping his constituents, but more interested in standing on a podium at NATO conferences This is always who Keir Starmer was: a shallow, hollow, vacuous man who is, somehow, also filled with self-importance.Adam Brooks: This is obviously why it’s absolutely...
This is obviously why it’s absolutely insane to now leverage more of our public finance into AI, and that Labour ministers and MPs suggesting we should are either already bought by tech and/or they’re criminally irresponsible and inadequate for their jobs.Philip Proudfoot: Burnham’s Labour government...
Burnham’s Labour government — without a mandate — are going to fill the AI bubble with public money to the tune of £100 million, further exposing us to financial catastrophe when it pops This is money that could have been spent on climate adaptation. Not pissed away on tech brosPhilip Proudfoot: Labour MPs who think they’re policy wonks...
Labour MPs who think they’re policy wonks: “hey, you know that massive overinflated AI bubble with trillions of dollars leveraged that will never be recovered — what if we put EVEN MORE public money into the bubble? We’ll call it a sovereign bubble! — yes, I’m very smart indeed”Philip Proudfoot: It’s crazy how often you discover...
It’s crazy how often you discover a new Labour MP, completely unfit for the job. Starmer really did pack Parliament with total non-entities. Best they can do is pretending to not understand this is explicitly about AI and not “servers in general” — embarrassing stuff.Philip Proudfoot: Zelenskyy is apparently quite...
Zelenskyy is apparently quite pleased to align himself with a state that has committed genocide and a man wanted by the ICC for crimes against humanity.Philip Proudfoot: Amid the year’s endless horror...
Amid the year’s endless horror, it’s easy to forget its most spectacular world-historical development: Iran humiliated the US — again, and again, and again. The era of infinite US military-power is over. Trump didn’t just not make America great, he caused its final decline.Read more
