Migrant rapists to be tackled with a brochure

The Home Office has issued official guidance for asylum seekers stating that rape is unacceptable. On social media, this method of crime prevention has sparked a wave of outrage.

The Home Office has decided to use an unusual method to combat sexual violence following a series of high-profile court cases involving migrants. Migrants arriving in the country are now given nine-page booklets explaining a number of rules of conduct in the United Kingdom. The section on sex and consent says that if you have sexual relations with someone without the other person’s consent, “that's called rape”.

Previously, during court proceedings, rapists repeatedly claimed that they did not understand what was expected of them or what they had done wrong. The account of one of the victims, a 14-year-old schoolgirl, is also revealing: “He pointed at me first and he said I want one baby from you and one from each of your friends. He told us as well that in his country, it is normal to marry 14-year-olds.”

The Left stands up for migrants

Many internet users pointed out that the government and left-wing media are keeping quiet about the problem and downplaying its scale.

''The government leaflet about learning to ask for consent is evidence of this fact. Sadly this fact Iis often deflected by left wing media, politicians and supporters. Their come back is often to quote stats of sex crimes from our existing population. This comparison is simply deflection because they dare not admit that the problem exists and that our political class are culpable in our cultural demise'', writes June Slater, the author of a patriotic account.

Meanwhile, The Telegraph cites last year’s statistics showing that over four years, the number of convictions for sexual offences involving foreigners rose to 62%, while the figure for UK citizens stands at 39.3%.

Deportation instead of a brochure

There is plenty of evidence online that migrants not only fail to understand the rules of conduct but openly violate them. The author of the 'Seeing is believing' account commented on a video showing a migrant staring at a woman sitting in front of a window while openly masturbating in the street: ''A man was already filmed outside a woman’s window doing exactly that. If the system is so broken that people who need basic instructions on not harassing women are still being let in, they shouldn’t be here in the first place''.

''Instead of trying to train these mainly young, male illegal immigrants to behave in a civilised way towards women, the Home Office should instead deport them'', shadow home secretary Chris Philp commented on the department’s initiative.

Most commenters share the same view

''The Home Office guide to military aged male migrants on 'how not to rape' is likely to be as effective as a chocolate fireguard. Just stop the ***** boats'', writes David Kurten, leader of the Heritage Party.

For now, however, Labour is not talking about mass deportations. Perhaps next they will suggest that potential rape victims carry the new brochure with them for protection.

A Somali-Born Driver Struck Five Pedestrians in London
